The past couple of months I have been working to rebrand my blog. I am working to get a 301 redirect to have this page automatically redirect to my new site but until then this post will have to do!
Head on over to www.mixplorology.com to check out the new design and focus of my little place on the internet.

Oh what a year it has been. A year of growth and change and starting to clean out the dark corners of my life that don't make me the happiest and best person that I could be. It was a year of definition. Defining who I want to be and setting goals for my future, my career and most importantly it was a year of defining what I don't want.
I mentioned a few months back that there would be changes coming to the blog. At the time I didn't know exactly what changes and steps I would be making. I debated between changing the name, changing my focus and quitting all together. I knew the latter wasn't what I wanted and it quickly became a non option. It was around this time that a friendship started to bloom between Susannah of Feast + West and myself because she had been amazing enough to join in on the Coaster 2 Coaster series and create a North Carolina cocktail.
|This is the infamous Susannah!|
Not only does Susannah run her amazing lifestyle blog but she was also starting her own branding company: Garnishing Co. It was fate. Susannah has been a saint through my rebranding nonsense. Fielding late night questions and always giving me an honest opinion backed by facts and her extended wealth of knowledge. She helped me answer the tough questions she listened to me babble on about the pros and cons of each name I threw out into the universe and I felt like she was my personal cheer leader through it all.
Did I spoil the surprise? I'm ringing in the new year with a fresh new blog name! This was my way of revamping my mission and getting on a path that makes more sense to me. I didn't have any concept of blogging when I started. I started this journey as a way to stay creative and it turned in to so much more. It was something when I had nothing else to look forward to. And it became something that I still looked forward to even when I did have other exciting adventures in life. Over the next few days I will be sharing my 2016 goals with you and letting you know what this change really means for my blog.
But until then let's take a look at what made 2015 so great:
I created 126 blog posts in 2015
there were 2 cocktail series
I moved into my very own apartment
I started a new job
I traveled to 5 new places coming to a grand total of 10 trips
I welcomed new friends into my life
I celebrated the marriage of one of my very favorite humans
And above all I created priceless memories that I will carry with me forever
Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 366 page book. Write a good one.

Champagne is the drink of the season, at least in my books! And I am more than ready to ring in 2016 with champagne.... start with a mimosa bar and then move on to a champagne margarita? Yes, please! I'm here to help you ring in 2016 with as many bubbles as possible!
1 mini bottle of champagne
